Cityscope.media is a mobile app focused on delivering regional information, curated classifieds and hyperlocal commerce. Cityscope aims to wipe out the noise and provide context and quality curation based. The content part of our platform aims to provide original content and actionable information that matters in the form of news briefs, collections, citizen stories and things unique to a city. Cityscope is building a hyperlocal marketplace around creators and entrepreneurs to empower homegrown brands and offer a curated classifieds and city experiences section. There is very little being done to equip you with relevant and factual intelligence. The Cityscope app aims to wipe out the noise and give you context. Driven by the idea to present unique and untold stories, we bring to you a mobile and web platform that aims to make you fully aware of all the important regional, national and global developments taking place around you and also experience the best a city has to offer and all the recommendations and happenings in town.

As a Full Stack developer, you will create and expand our in-house tools, and help drive the development and architecture of our internal & client-facing applications.The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next-generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.

Skillset and requirements

• Good understanding of git, including development workflows on Gitlab or Github
  
• Design, build and maintain Website and software applications.
  
• In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Node, MySQL and MongoDb
  
• Passionate about Software Craftsmanship (e.g. Clean Code, Pair Programming, Peer Reviews, Test-Driven Development, Refactoring)
  
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies.
  
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  
• Experience in working with micro services architecture and Some exposure to Continuous Integration/Delivery pipeline for cloud, including Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, etc.
  
• Good knowledge and practical experience of testing tools like Webpack, Jasmine, Karma, etc.
  
• Create and maintain software documentation
  
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
  
• Experience on container orchestration like Kubernetes/Docker Swarm
  
• Knowledge on Log4j and debugging skills to identify and fix the bugs to ensure high availability.
  
• Understanding of Junit for Unit and Integrations testing to ensure code quality in edge cases. Understanding of JMeter for Load testing
  
• Ability to identify the issue and resolution quickly.
  
• Experience in at least one of the common languages like Golang, Java, JavaScript and Python.
  
• Open to learn new languages and tools which we assess on a daily basis for our upcoming projects.
  
• API Security / authentication knowledge (OAuth2)
  
• Web services / API development experience using REST / SOAP
  
• Awareness of cloud / distributed architecture
  
• Experience with Web Analytics Tools, especially Google Analytics and in the usage of Excel
  
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability, strong analytical skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
  
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
  
• Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process
  
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
  
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen and document software specifications and architectural decisions
  
• Maintaining the integrity of development practices, code quality, and consistency
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering OR related field from a reputed institution with 3+ years of software development experience
  

Good to have:

• Experience developing and working with generative AI
  
• Experience with the graphQL query language and using API testing tools like Postman
  
• Experience with Figma, solidity and smart contracts is a plus
  
• Link the frontend components to our smart contracts using web3 libraries
  
• Familiarity with P2P networks & application of creator tokens and blockchains
