Job description

This is a remote position.

Provide saxophone lessons to students, focusing on technique, repertoire, music theory and performance skills.
Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student's individual goals, abilities, and learning styles.
Evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
Prepare students for performances, auditions and competitions as needed.
Encourage and inspire students to develop a love for music and saxophone playing.
Communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians regarding lesson schedules, progress and expectations.
Stay updated with new teaching methodologies, music trends and saxophone repertoire.

Essentials Skills:

Proficiency in saxophone playing and a strong understanding of music theory.
Previous teaching experience, preferably with a diverse range of students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their musical goals.
Patience, flexibility and a passion for teaching music.
A degree in music or equivalent professional experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):

Experience in ensemble coaching or conducting.
Familiarity with various musical styles (Classical, Jazz, Contemporary etc.).
Knowledge of music technology and its integration into teaching (Recording, Digital Notation etc.).
