Responsibilities

  • Outreach and stakeholder engagement: assist in outreach to connect with community stakeholders, engage with organizations and partners, and contribute to market surveys and data collection
  • Content and communications: develop and implement communication strategies, create content for social media and newsletters, and support organizing event sessions
  • Stakeholder relations and feedback: establish relationships with startups and mentors, conduct interviews and surveys to understand needs and challenges
  • Project coordination and data: collaborate with the project team to track milestones and assist in data management, analysis, and reporting

About Climate Collective:

Climate Collective Foundation, an Indian not-for-profit organisation, runs climate-focused startup support programs, including the largest early-stage Climate Tech accelerator in South Asia.

Since 2016, Climate Collective Foundation (“CCF”) has been a leader in supporting Climate Tech startups in India & South Asia. It has now become the largest such private-sector platform in South Asia. Our activities to build up the ecosystem include:

·        Climate startup accelerator programs for early-stage (pre-Series A) companies

·        Funding platforms for pre-Series A climate tech startups

·        Educational courses for students, researchers & entrepreneurs

·        Community initiatives for amplify climate issues & mitigation through entrepreneurship

About Climate Startup Week:

Climate Startup Week is Climate Collective‘s flagship community event, aimed to bring together the Climate Tech startup ecosystem across the Global South. The event is held twice every year and has a wide range of online as well as in-person sessions. Since 2020, we have hosted 8 editions of Climate Startup Week. 


Position Overview:

As a Climate Startup Week Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our program's mission to drive innovation and change in the climate tech space. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about startups, events, sustainability, project management and is looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outreach and Engagement:

·        Assist in outreach efforts to connect with various stakeholders across the community.

·        Contact and engage with relevant organizations, partners, and stakeholders for collaboration and program promotion.

·        Contribute to market surveys and data collection to better understand the climate tech landscape.

  • Communication and Content:

·        Help develop and implement communication strategies, including content creation for social media, newsletters, and program-related materials.

·        Support the organization of sessions as part of the event to engage the climate tech community.

  • Stakeholder Relations:

·        Establish and nurture relationships with startups, mentors, and key stakeholders.

·        Assist in conducting interviews, surveys, and feedback collection to understand the needs and challenges of climate tech community.

  • Project Coordination:

·        Collaborate with the project team to ensure smooth coordination, and tracking of project milestones.

·        Assist in data management, analysis, and reporting.

 




Requirements

Qualifications:

·        A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Studies, Business, Communications, Marketing, Engineering or a related area).

·        3+ years of professional experience in the climate tech and innovation space.

·        Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

·        Passion for climate tech and a commitment to making a positive environmental impact.

·        Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management tools.

·        Exceptional creativity, organizational skills and attention to detail.

·        Familiarity with social media platforms and online marketing is a plus.

·        Familiarity with hosting and running events is a plus.
