Shopify Developer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Shopify Developer to join their team remotely. The ideal candidate will have solid experience building, customising and maintaining Shopify stores, with a strong understanding of front‑end development, Liquid templates and e‑commerce best practices. You will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development, optimisation and performance of the clients online retail platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customise and maintain Shopify stores using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Implement new features, sections and templates aligned with brand and UX guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front‑end and back‑end issues across Shopify themes and integrations.
• Improve website performance, usability and conversion rates through best‑practice optimisation.
• Integrate and configure Shopify apps, as well as develop custom app solutions where required.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality e‑commerce solutions.
• Ensure all deliverables follow mobile‑first development principles and responsive design standards.
• Maintain clean, well‑structured and well‑documented code.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Shopify Developer.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify platform functionalities, Liquid templating and theme architecture.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Experience working with Shopify apps, APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and independently.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work remotely in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Reliable access to:

  • Reliable internet connection

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with Shopify Plus.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices within e‑commerce environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with Figma or similar design tools.
