This is a remote position.
MDSearch is seekingbilingual Psychiatrists (English/French)to conduct virtual Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and consultations for military veterans and RCMP members experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, sleep disorders, and chronic pain.
The Psychiatrist will meet with patients fromQuebec and Nova Scotia, assessing eligibility for medical cannabis and providing trauma-informed mental health evaluations. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to support Canada’s veteran community through entirely virtual care.
Compensation:
$500–$750 per IME
Key Details:
Work Setting: 100% Virtual
Schedule: Minimum 1 day (or 2 half days) per week, or equivalent of ~10 patients/week
Patient Volume: ~3–4 patients/hour
Requirements:
Licensure required: Candidates must be licensed to practice in either Quebec or Nova Scotia.
Bilingual in English and French
Experience working with members of the military community preferred
Background in trauma-related mental health (PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc.)
Experience writing IMEs is an asset but not required
