Job description

This is a remote position.

MDSearch is seeking bilingual Psychiatrists (English/French) to conduct virtual Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and consultations for military veterans and RCMP members experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, sleep disorders, and chronic pain.

The Psychiatrist will meet with patients​ from Quebec and Nova Scotia, assessing eligibility for medical cannabis and providing trauma-informed mental health evaluations. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to support Canada’s veteran community through entirely virtual care.

Compensation:
$500–$750 per IME

Key Details:
  • Work Setting: 100% Virtual
  • Schedule: Minimum 1 day (or 2 half days) per week, or equivalent of ~10 patients/week
  • Patient Volume: ~3–4 patients/hour

Requirements:
  • Licensure required: Candidates must be licensed to practice in either Quebec or Nova Scotia.
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Experience working with members of the military community preferred
  • Background in trauma-related mental health (PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc.)
  • Experience writing IMEs is an asset but not required
