Job description

Quality Engineer (Level 2)

Location: South Africa

Company: SecuritEase Group

As a Quality Engineer (L2) at SecuritEase, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of our software products. You’ll work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests. You’ll also be involved in reviewing software specifications, identifying bugs, and continuously improving testing strategies and quality standards.

This role is suited for a quality-focused individual with strong technical skills and experience in test automation, agile methodologies, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
4+ years' experience in software quality assurance or related field
Proficiency with testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, RestAssured)
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, BDD)
Strong coding skills in JavaScript (preferred), Java, or Python
Knowledge of SQL and database management
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, K6)
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies
Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Exposure to microservices and containerized environments
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience working with distributed teams across time zones
