This is a remote position.

Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team as a Locum Tenens provider. As a PMHNP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health disorders. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy
  • Conduct routine check-ups, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications and controlled substances
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans
  • Stay current with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in psychiatric-mental health nursing


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing
  • Current licensures as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of practice
  • Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a PMHNP in an inpatient or outpatient setting
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to evaluate patients with complex mental health needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of autonomy and independence
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric-mental health nursing principles, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapy
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication



Salary: $135/hr
