Responsibilities
Evaluate and diagnose patients with mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy
Conduct routine check-ups, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
Prescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications and controlled substances
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans
Stay current with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in psychiatric-mental health nursing
