Tru Inc is seeking an AEM DevOps Engineer. We have one (1) permanent full-time position available for an immediate start. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer or his delegate.
We want you to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success! In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, pipelines, and deployment processes that support Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platforms across on-premise and cloud environments.
You will work closely with development, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable, scalable, and secure AEM environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, AEM 6.5, DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, AEM Dispatcher, CDN configuration, cloud hosting (Azure or AWS), and performance tuning for enterprise-level solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges, building automation, and enabling smooth, reliable deployments for mission-critical digital experiences.
This role is hybrid, providing some flexibility to work from home. However, candidates must reside in Ontario and be prepared to attend in-person client or team meetings as required. Occasional travel to events, workshops, or client engagements may also be necessary.
Design, implement, and manage AEM infrastructure across Cloud Service and/or on-prem environments.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AEM code deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
Configure, optimize, and maintain AEM Dispatcher, including caching rules, rewrites, security filters, and load balancing.
Manage AEM environments including author, publish, and preview instances, ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability.
Automate deployment processes, environment provisioning, and recurring operational tasks.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure proactive issue detection.
Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot production issues and support release management activities.
Manage integrations with CDNs, identity platforms, third-party APIs, and backend systems.
Apply security best practices, including access controls, SSL certificates, secret management, and compliance requirements.
Maintain documentation for infrastructure landscapes, deployment processes, and operational runbooks.
3+ years of hands-on experience in AEM DevOps, AEM Cloud Services, or AEM infrastructure engineering.
Strong understanding of AEM 6.5, AEM as a Cloud Service, and AEM architecture (author/publish/dispatcher).
Expertise in configuring and optimizing AEM Dispatcher (Apache HTTPD, caching, filters, rewrites).
Hands-on experience with infrastructure scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Groovy.
Solid working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Experience with cloud hosting platforms, preferably Azure, but AWS or GCP is also valuable.
Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux servers, networking, DNS, SSL, firewalls, and load balancing.
Experience with logging/monitoring tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch, or AppDynamics.
Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments (bonus for Kubernetes exposure).
Understanding of security best practices, performance tuning, caching strategies, and scalable application environments.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Experience with AEM Cloud Manager deployment pipelines.
Knowledge of CDN configuration (Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly).
Familiarity with GitOps workflows and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates).
Exposure to front-end ecosystems such as React.js or Next.js (for troubleshooting integrations).
Experience supporting integrations with enterprise services, search platforms, or identity management systems.
