Senior Python/django Developer

We are a leading technology company specialising in the development of a SaaS web apps for outdoor sports activity providers. Our comprehensive suite includes scheduling systems, POS, accounting, online booking, inventory management, and more, servicing both businesses (B2B) and consumers (B2C). We are now looking to expand our team with talented and motivated individuals who share our passion for innovation.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Mid-Level Backend Developer with a minimum of 4 years of experience working with Python/Django and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in full-stack development and be fluent in English. This is a long-term, remote position.

Responsibilities:

● Develop and Maintain Backend Services: Work closely with the development team to design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using Python/Django.

● Database Management: Leverage your experience with PostgreSQL to manage and optimize databases.

● Collaborate with Frontend Team: Work alongside the frontend team to integrate APIs and ensure a seamless user experience.

● Code Review and Quality Assurance: Perform code reviews, write tests, and ensure adherence to best practices and company standards.

● Contribute to Full-Stack Development: Occasionally work on frontend development using React/TypeScript, showing a holistic understanding of the product.

● Continuous Learning and Improvement: Keep up to date with emerging technologies and methodologies to continually improve development processes.

Requirements:

● Minimum 4 years of professional experience with Python/Django.

● Strong experience with PostgreSQL.

● Basic understanding of front-end technologies like React/TypeScript is beneficial.

● Fluent in English (written and verbal).

● A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong desire to learn and grow.

● Experience with cloud providers (ie. Azure, AWS, and GCP).

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
