Therapeutic Content Consultant

We're a tech startup developing an innovative digital platform focused on personal growth and self-improvement. Our mission is to make evidence-based approaches to self-development more accessible, engaging, and effective for busy young professionals.

We're seeking licensed therapists/psychologists to join our team as consultants on a contractual, milestone-based arrangement. In this role, you'll apply your clinical expertise to help develop science-backed content and user experiences that facilitate meaningful personal growth in an engaging digital format.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research & Content Development (40%)
  • Conduct literature reviews on personal growth, behavioral change, and therapeutic techniques
  • Synthesize scientific research into actionable frameworks for digital application
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance research efficiency while maintaining clinical accuracy
  • Create evidence-based assessment tools and user experiences
• Experience Design (30%)
  • Design engaging interactive content and guided activities for personal development
  • Develop psychologically sound questions, prompts, and reflection exercises
  • Create response frameworks and analysis methodologies for user inputs
  • Build progression systems that deliver meaningful growth milestones
• Collaboration & Ideation (20%)
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with product and design teams
  • Provide expert guidance on therapeutic approaches and methodologies
  • Help translate clinical concepts into digital, accessible experiences
  • Contribute to ethical frameworks and best practices
• Analysis & Optimization (10%)
  • Review user data and AI-generated analysis to identify patterns and insights
  • Calibrate content and processes based on user engagement and outcomes
  • Help measure effectiveness of different therapeutic modalities
  • Recommend refinements to enhance the psychological impact of features

• Required:
  • Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Current clinical license in your jurisdiction
  • Minimum 3+ years experience providing therapy/counseling services
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based approaches (CBT, ACT, positive psychology)
  • Excellent written communication and content development skills
  • Comfort with technology and interest in digital mental health solutions
• Preferred:
  • Experience with app-based or digital therapeutic interventions
  • Knowledge of gamification principles for behavioral change
  • Background in research, academic writing, or content creation
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application in mental health
  • Interest in personal growth methodologies beyond traditional therapy

Contract Details:

• Fixed-fee arrangement with additional payments upon reaching key milestones
• Remote position with flexible hours
• Initial contract: 3-6 months with possibility of extension
• Estimated commitment: 10-20 hours per week (variable based on project phase)
