Everglade Works is looking for a highly skilled Remote IT Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our IT infrastructure. If you thrive in dynamic environments, love solving complex IT challenges, and are eager to support a fast-growing IT company, this role is for you!

What You'll Do

• System Administration: Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and cloud-based infrastructure.

• User Support & Helpdesk Management: Provide technical support to remote employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

• Security & Compliance: Implement cybersecurity best practices, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

• Cloud & SaaS Management: Oversee cloud services, including AWS, Azure, and Google Workspace, optimizing performance and security.

• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Ensure robust data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans are in place.

• Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts for IT automation and efficiency.

• Software & Hardware Management: Deploy, configure, and manage software applications and company devices.

• IT Policy Development: Establish and enforce IT policies and best practices across the organization.

What You Need to Succeed

• Experience: 5+ years of IT administration experience in a remote or hybrid setting.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Hands-on experience with network administration (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

  • Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and best practices.

  • Ability to write scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Education & Certifications (Preferred but not Required):

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
