Job description

APIGEE Developer
Location: Colombia/Mexico (Remote)
Total Exp: 5-7 Yrs

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective API designs.
Develop API proxies, leveraging best practices for scalability, performance, and security.
Utilize OpenAPI specifications to define and document APIs, ensuring consistency and interoperability.
Develop custom logic and transformations using JavaScript and Java within the Apigee API Proxy environment.
Manage API products, including versioning, access control, and monitoring.
Collaborate with GCP teams to integrate Apigee with Google Cloud services, including IAM configurations, GCP APIs, and Cloud Console.
Follow Agile development methodologies, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Support troubleshooting efforts, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, and provide technical guidance to resolve API-related challenges.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API management and cloud computing.

Qualifications:

Proficient with Apigee API Management Platform, Apigee X on Google Cloud
Proficient in Development of API Proxy on Apigee Edge and Apigee X
Proficient in Open API specification
Proficient in Apigee Developer Portal implementation and management
Understanding of implementing API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, Open ID connect, Encryption/decryption
Proficient in JavaScript and Java based development in Apigee API Proxy
Understanding of API Products, API keys rotation and Consumer Apps
Understanding of GCP services - GCP projects, GCP IAM configurations, GCP APIs, Cloud Console
Understanding of Agile development and DevOps
