Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Lead Engineer to join our team and work on transforming complex datasets into visually compelling reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in Power BI development, data modeling, and administration, as well as exceptional analytical skills to turn data into meaningful insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, administer, and manage Power BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and KPIs.
• Build robust Analysis Services reporting models that enable insightful data analysis.
• Design and create visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop.
• Connect to various data sources, import, transform, and prepare data for Business Intelligence.
• Manage multiple datasets and create relationships between them for optimized reporting.
• Utilize advanced DAX queries and complex calculations within Power BI for customized solutions.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and ensure security at the application layer within Power BI.
• Develop and document project methodology and design processes.
• Publish and schedule Power BI reports per business requirements and ensure timely delivery.
• Translate business needs into functional data models, maintaining resource efficiency.
• Perform requirement analysis, prototyping, and report design, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, ensuring a strong understanding of joins, aggregations, and data manipulation.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and coordinate project tasks.
• Communicate directly with clients and onsite leads to ensure project goals and objectives are met.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Power BI development and administration.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, creating relationships between datasets, and handling large data volumes.
• Proficiency in DAX queries and advanced-level calculations.
• Ability to develop interactive reports and dashboards that meet business needs.
• Solid understanding of application security and Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI.
• Advanced SQL skills, particularly in writing complex queries.
• Proven experience with report publishing, scheduling, and documentation.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence with a focus on Power BI.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
