Job description

Position: Sr. Scala Engineer / Scala Expert
Location: US Remote (West Coast preferred)
Duration: 1 Year +
Rate: DOE

Must Have Requirements:

9+ years Scala experience (Should self rate Scala as a minimum of 8 out of 10)
Proven background in Databricks streaming.
Solid understanding of data architecture, pipeline orchestration, and data modeling.
Comfortable with cloud environments and tools.
Experience in external client-facing roles.

Preferred Experience:

Scala + Databricks
Experience with orchestration tools.
Exposure to data governance compliance.
Familiarity with Databricks Technologies.
Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse patterns.
Familiarity with Unity Catalog - metadata management, access control, and governance.
