Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Workday HCM Consultant at a Workday partner firm, including independent leadership of at least two Phase 1 HCM implementations.
  • Domain knowledge in Higher Education or State/Local Government.
  • Active Workday HCM certifications with implementer access and at least two of the following: Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, People Experience, Reporting; Workday Launch certification is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities with Workday Security, ability to build custom reports; excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team.

Requirements:

  • Work independently on multiple client engagements, delivering design, configuration, prototyping, testing, and production cutover for HCM and related modules (e.g., Recruiting, Benefits, Talent, Learning, Core/Advanced Compensation).
  • Guide clients through requirements analysis and design, assist with testing and production deployment, and support annual events such as Talent/Performance, Merit, Open Enrollment, and ACA.
  • Collaborate with Engagement Managers to communicate project status and forecast; assist with sales presentations, demos, and LOEs.
  • Stay current on Workday enhancements, advise on best practices, build strong client relationships, and contribute to ERPA's Workday AMS practice.

Position Summary: 

 

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Workday HCM Consultant on our Workday Delivery team! This role is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and/or production support (post go-live) for HCM and one or more additional modules under the HCM umbrella such as: Recruiting, Benefits, Learning, Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation (merit, bonus, stock), and Talent/Performance. 

 

The Senior Workday HCM Consultant will actively contribute to the development of ERPA’s Workday AMS practice, and we’re looking for an innovative, strategic Consultant with the drive to make ERPA a Workday partner of choice. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Work independently with limited direction as a consultant on multiple client engagements  

  • Understand client business requirements and provide guidance throughout design, configuration and prototype, and assist clients with testing and move to Production efforts 

  • Support clients during Annual Events such as: Annual Talent/Performance, Merit, Open Enrollment, ACA, etc. as needed

  • Partner with Engagement Managers to keep them informed of project status, changes, etc. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts to ensure clear lines of communication and project alignment 

  • Accurately maintain forecast in a timely manner 

  • Partner with the Sales team and serve as a Subject Matter Expert while assisting with sales presentations, demos, and LOEs 

  • Stay up to date on industry knowledge, Workday enhancements, and be able to advise on Workday best practices 

  • Build strong relationships with clients, gained through trust and exceptional customer service  

 

Experience and Education Requirements: 

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Workday HCM Consultant at a Workday partner firm is required 

  • Must have experience independently leading at least two Workday Phase 1 implementations for the HCM workstream, and must be knowledgeable in Higher Education OR State/Local Government

  • Workday HCM Certification with implementer access and at least 2 of these are required: Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, People Experience, Reporting

  • Workday Launch certification is preferred.

  • All required Workday certifications must remain in Active status throughout employment with ERPA. 

  • Must have experience troubleshooting or navigating Workday Security and be able to build custom reports. 

  • Strong organizational skills are required. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a detailed understanding of Workday HCM processes and best practices to make appropriate implementation recommendations.  

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, coupled with a desire to have fun while building something new (required)
