Roles & Responsibilities

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Mandatory
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience with preferred exposure to US-based entities
  • Strong exposure to US GAAP, corporate taxation, and audit processes

Requirements:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Maintain general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysis; oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Manage federal, state, and local US corporate tax filings; prepare documentation for tax returns, audits, and regulatory requirements; liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, IRS regulations, and internal controls; work with accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, etc.) and maintain audit-ready documentation

As we continue our global expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced and qualified professional to join our team as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) India (US-Focused Accounting), providing expert-level financial and accounting support to our US-based clients.

About the Role

The selected candidate will play a critical role in managing end-to-end financial operations for a US-based company. This includes statutory compliance, financial reporting, taxation, and advisory support in alignment with US GAAP, IRS regulations, and corporate accounting standards.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, leadership teams, and external auditors to ensure strong financial governance, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Maintain general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysis
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Manage federal, state, and local corporate tax filings in the US
  • Prepare documentation for tax returns, audits, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, IRS regulations, and internal controls
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
  • Review vendor invoices, reconciliations, and ensure timely payment cycles
  • Work with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or Xero
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and organised financial records
  • Implement best practices for data integrity, reporting, and financial governance

Education & Certification

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Mandatory
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Prior experience managing accounts for US-based entities is highly preferred
  • Strong exposure to US GAAP, corporate taxation, and audit processes

Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of US federal and state tax laws
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
  • Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Soft Skills & Work Style

  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Well-organised with a disciplined approach to documentation
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Comfortable supporting US time zones and cross-border teams

  • Experience working in BPO or shared services environments
  • Knowledge of US payroll processing and statutory filings
  • Familiarity with SOX controls and GAAP-compliant audit frameworks
  • Exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities
