Job description

Hire My Tech is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead with strong backend and systems engineering experience to lead a small, high-performing engineering team for one of our clients in Bangladesh. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing production-quality code, guiding engineers, and owning technical decisions end-to-end.

You will play a key role in designing scalable systems, maintaining high engineering standards, and ensuring reliable delivery while working closely with product and business stakeholders.

What You'll Do
  
 Lead and mentor a team of 3–6 engineers, providing technical guidance and feedback

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend and distributed systems

  • Remain hands-on with coding, architecture, and code reviews

  • Own technical decisions, system reliability, and performance

  • Drive sprint planning, task breakdown, and delivery commitments

  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to align execution

  • Troubleshoot production issues and lead root-cause analysis

  • Promote engineering best practices across code quality, security, and CI/CD

What Were Looking For

  • 5–7 years of professional software development experience

  • 2+ years in a senior or lead role, mentoring or guiding engineers

  • Strong experience with backend development (C++, Go, Java, or Python)

  • Solid understanding of Linux-based systems

  • Experience working with distributed systems

  • Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

  • Practical experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines

  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and system design skills

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively

Nice to Have

  • Kubernetes or container orchestration experience

  • Embedded systems, IoT, or OTA-related exposure

  • Experience with storage systems, data pipelines, or platform engineering

  • Background in automotive, telecom, or infrastructure-heavy products
