Roles & Responsibilities

  • At least 3 years of Australian payroll or bookkeeping experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Australian payroll with thorough understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (including taxation, superannuation, and Fair Work)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software systems
  • Experience in interpreting and applying relevant Australian Modern Awards

Requirements:

  • Manage accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees (salary, wages, bonuses, and benefits) based on approved timesheets; audit Bullhorn placements to ensure data meets payroll processing requirements; resolve payroll queries; maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian payroll laws and compliance.
  • Process accounts payable activities by receiving, reviewing, and processing vendor invoices; enter, reconcile, and on-charge Corporate Traveller invoices; process employee reimbursements in Xero and related client invoices; assist with debit card expense claims and reconciliation templates.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian payroll regulations, taxation, superannuation, Fair Work standards, and internal policies; maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Provide prompt and clear support to employees and suppliers; maintain strong collaboration with the wider Finance team and perform any ad hoc tasks as required.

Job description

Clear is looking for a Finance Administrator with proven experience in Australian payroll
processing to work with our client, an Australian-based labour hire firm, whose purpose is to connect the best healthcare talent with the best opportunities, making a positive impact on peoples lives.

Purpose

As a Finance Administrator, you will:

  • Ensure all payroll and accounts payable activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian payroll laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide prompt and clear support to employees & suppliers regarding enquiries and concerns, fostering trust and satisfaction.

As a Finance Administrator, your tasks may include:

Payroll Duties>

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including salary, wages, bonuses, and benefits.
  • Process payroll based on approved timesheets.
  • Audit Bullhorn placements to ensure data meets requirements for payroll processing (Astute).
  • Create the outstanding approvals list and share it to consultants for timesheet chasing (Astute).
  • Resolve payroll queries as allocated in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Accounts Payable Duties>

  • Receive, review, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Enter, reconcile and on-charge Corporate Traveller invoices.
  • Process employee reimbursements in Xero and associated invoices to clients.
  • Assist with entering of debit card expense claims into Xero.
  • Assist Management Accountant with reconciliation templates.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining interpersonal relationships with Finance & wider TQ team
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Any additional ad hoc tasks as required by the business.


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of Australian payroll or bookkeeping experience 
  • Experience in interpreting and applying relevant Australian Modern Awards
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software systems
  • Demonstrated experience in Australian payroll with a thorough understanding of Australian payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, including taxation, superannuation, and Australian Fair Work regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, management, and external stakeholders
