Senior Buyer

About the Company:
Our client is the European leader in clearance sales, with an annual turnover of €1 billion. Their mission is to provide top-quality overstock products across various categories, partnering with major retailers such as Lidl, Aldi, and Carrefour. 

Role Overview:
They are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer with deep knowledge of the German market and expertise in overstock purchasing. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of suppliers and experience in categories such as beverages, food, and clothing. This is a freelance, fully remote role, reporting to the Commercial Director in Romania.

Key Responsibilities:
・Identify and negotiate overstock purchasing opportunities across multiple categories.
・Maintain and expand a network of 80-100+ active suppliers in Germany.
・Develop relationships with key retail partners such as Lidl, Aldi, and Carrefour.
・Analyze market trends to optimize purchasing decisions.
・Manage the full procurement cycle, ensuring quality and competitive pricing.

Requirements

・5-6 years of experience in a Category Manager/Buyer role.

・Strong knowledge of the German overstock market.

・Established supplier network (80-100 active contacts).

・Fluent in Native German & English.

・Highly independent, self-driven professional.
