Job Summary:

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence across AMETEK’s Instrumentation Systems (NCC and VIS) product lines. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives, identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, and maintaining strong, solution-oriented relationships with customers in your assigned region or market segment. You will also monitor market trends, analyze competitive dynamics, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering, to ensure our offerings align with customer needs and evolving industry demands. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that requires strong business acumen, technical insight, and a collaborative mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute winning strategies for new business pursuits within assigned market segments
  • Cultivate strategic customer accounts and identify new business and adjacent market opportunities
  • Manage customer relationships and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities using Salesforce
  • Communicate business unit goals and customer feedback to Divisional Key Account teams
  • Align sales efforts with engineering’s new product development goals and the business’s short-, mid-, and long-term growth objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, with deep understanding of their development programs, timelines, and supply chain processes
  • Lead tactical sales activities including multiyear quoting, pricing strategy, contract review, negotiations, and marketing analysis
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Sales to validate demand forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Provide Product Management with market intelligence, voice of customer insights, and competitive analysis
  • Support financial planning through accurate forecasting, budgeting, and regular reporting on key pursuits and program status

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Experience managing customer accounts and driving revenue growth
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for customer engagement and industry events

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the instrumentation, industrial controls, construction, or heavy vehicle industries
  • Familiarity with AMETEK NCC and VIS product lines or similar technologies (e.g., HMI displays, embedded controls, rugged instrumentation)
  • Technical aptitude to understand and communicate complex product offerings to engineering and procurement stakeholders
  • Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1-3 suppliers in industrial or transportation sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to support long-cycle sales processes and custom-engineered solutions
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and customer development timelines
  • Experience with multiyear quoting, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration
