Job Summary:
As the Travel Business Head, you will play a critical role
in shaping the strategic direction and operational success of our travel
portal. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing customer
conversion rates, and managing the P&L of the business. This role requires
a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, with a focus on building
strong client relationships and enhancing the overall user experience of the
portal.
Outcomes:
1. Achieve Transaction Growth: Increase the travel portal's
transaction volume within the first year through effective client acquisition
and retention strategies.
Targets: Track and report monthly transaction volumes
compared to the previous quarter. Increase transaction volume per client by 20%
(quarter on quarter).
2. Enhance Conversion Rates: Improve the customer conversion
rate through optimizing the booking funnel and enhancing user experience.
Targets: Analyse and track funnel metrics quarterly.
Increase conversion rate per client by 20% (quarter on quarter).
3. Client Relationship Excellence: Secure and maintain all
major client accounts in the first year, ensuring a high level of satisfaction
and repeat business.
Targets: Need to achieve satisfaction > 90% score in the
CSAT surveys post 6 month and post 12 months of the client.
4. P&L Management: Demonstrate effective budget
management to ensure the business unit's profitability meets or exceeds targets
Targets: Achieve P&L and margin as per business plan projections.
5. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team
that aligns with Customer Capitalβs values and business goals.
Targets: Build a team with the defined key roles within the
first 6 months and achieve a team satisfaction score of 90% or higher.
Competencies:
1. Visionary Thinking: Ability to envisage and articulate a
compelling future state for the product.
2. Industry Expertise: At least 8-10 years in the travel
industry with significant B2C experience in flights and hotels.
3. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute growth
strategies in a competitive market.
4. Client Management: Proven track record of acquiring and
managing large client accounts, with a focus on building long-term
relationships.
5. Operational Excellence: Skilled in managing complex
operations and P&L.
6. Leadership: Strong leadership qualities, with the ability
to inspire and develop a diverse team
Experience & Background:
1. Travel Industry Expertise:
a. At least 8 years of experience working in or with an
online B2C travel portal project.
b. Demonstrable knowledge about industry trends, key
players, and customer preferences.
2. P&L Ownership:
a. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a P&L role,
preferably within tech-driven environments or digital platforms
Additional Details: -
β’ This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work
are Monday to Friday for nine hours.
Evening and
weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
