Translator with Danish (Freelance)

LocalEyes is recruiting freelance talents to be part of its global and growing community of freelancers.

We are looking for translators with Danish willing to provide translation and localization services in the IT sectors (Documentation, SW, and Marketing as a plus). For this role, you will be working as part of a dynamic team and in an international environment. Specific responsibilities include IT translations, sw localisation,  linguistic review and QA, checking of terminology consistency through the management of TMs, glossaries and style guides to guarantee the quality of deliverables.

Requirements

Main requirements:

• Native in Danish with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or equivalent experience.
  
• IT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools.
  
• Preferred experience as a translator specialized in translation and proofreading of the required field (IT, SW, Documentation, and preferably Marketing).
  
• Editorial and/or journalistic skills and up-to-date with language and terminology trends.
  
• Comfortable with technology.
  
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills. 
  
• As a plus, experience translating content containing embedded variables in an XML environment with a high comfort level in manipulating XML type tags during translation.
  
• Demonstrated aptitude to independently learn new technologies - some projects might be performed usingproprietary localisation tool sets.
  
• Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities. 
  
• Flexibility to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently. 
  
• Excellent written and spoken English to truly understand the meaning and translate as if it were originally written in target language.
  
• Obsessed by the detail, quality-driven and has a passion for languages.
  
• Understanding and attitude to work within a confidential environment.
  
• Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with multiple changes in project priorities and tight deadlines
  
• Available to travel as the business calls.
  
• Good availability, potentially at least 4 to 6 hours per day and quick response times.
