The Role
We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner (Purchasing) to join our client’s growing
supply chain team. This role will be central to planning, forecasting, and ensuring the
efficient flow of materials into the business.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across sales, operations, supply chain, and
finance to ensure optimal stock management, supplier performance, and accurate demand
forecasting. The position blends data-driven analysis with hands-on procurement activity and
offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the company’s supply efficiency and
business outcomes.
Occasional international supplier visits may be required to support supplier relationship
management, though this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning
● Lead and manage the demand planning process, ensuring accurate forecasts and
optimal inventory levels.
● Analyse sales data, customer trends, and product launches to refine forecasting
models.
● Collaborate across teams to align demand with supply chain capabilities.
● Incorporate promotions, regulatory updates, and new product launches into plans.
● Monitor KPIs and report on forecast accuracy, stock levels, and supply performance.
● Present key insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Purchasing
● Support the day-to-day management of purchasing activities.
● Utilise Netstock and other planning systems to monitor and forecast stock
requirements.
● Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring on-time supplier delivery.
● Maintain accurate records of orders, suppliers, and stock levels.
● Collaborate with internal teams to align stock levels with demand.
● Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
● Assist in monitoring supplier performance and developing supplier relationships.
● Manage administrative tasks related to purchasing, invoicing, and compliance.
About You
● Proven experience in demand planning and/or purchasing within a manufacturing or
supply chain environment.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on data.
● A strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
● Confident communicator, able to build strong relationships with internal teams and
suppliers.
● Proficient in ERP, Netstock, and demand planning systems.
