PCB Designer

This position is a temporary 3-month contract position responsible for supporting the board-level layout of new products and sustaining engineering. Reporting to the Manager CAD/Mechanical design, this position will work closely with senior engineers in digital and RF hardware to ensure the design of a high-quality product designed for manufacturability, longevity, and performance.

A successful candidate will be experienced, enthusiastic, ready to take on new challenges, and have excellent attention to detail.

Products include systems with an emphasis on video compression, decompression, FPGAs, microprocessors, and wireless communications.

What you will be doing:

• The layout of digital and RF PCBs working with schematic design engineers using Altium
• Designer.
• Schematic design and/or modification of supporting PCBs with minimal oversight using
• Altium Designer.
• Design of cable adapter drawings and mechanical assemblies in Solidworks.
• Research and evaluate components for obsolescence
• Manage and create new parts for schematic and PCB libraries.
• Generate assembly drawings from detailed parts, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Develop and maintain bills of materials.
• Generate engineering change orders.
• Provide input to project plans and keep projects on schedule.
• Prepare and maintain layout-related documentation
