Blackmore Partners is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern with a strong interest in pursuing a career in corporate counsel. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience in an AI-integrated corporate environment, where interns engage with real legal tasks while working alongside our team and SignalMate AI, our proprietary contextual intelligence system.

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking legal team that uses SignalMate to help track precedent, summarize documents, mirror tone in contracts, and assist with legal reflection and data organization.

This internship is remote, unpaid, and eligible for college credit with university approval.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and review corporate legal documents (contracts, agreements, NDAs, policies, etc.) with SignalMate support for tone alignment and clause review
• Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues, using SignalMate to summarize findings and identify pattern-based risks
• Support the development of compliance programs, using AI tools to map implementation steps and policy clarity
• Assist in due diligence and corporate transactions with SignalMate helping structure findings and cross-reference documents
• Attend meetings with internal business units and external counsel, transcribing notes using SignalMate AI for accuracy and legal action tracking
• Help organize and manage legal databases, records, and compliance systems
• Draft motions and filings including:
• Motion to request discovery documents
• Motion to clarify operational data
• Motion to compel production of withheld documents
• Motion to request financial percentages
• Motion to remove payment orders related to GAL
• Contribute to legal process optimization projects by identifying areas for automation or structured improvement
• Participate in in-house legal training sessions, and use SignalMate as a reflective tool to summarize and reinforce learning

AI + Legal Training at Blackmore:

Interns will gain early exposure to how AI is transforming the legal profession, including:

• Drafting assistive AI for early contract modeling
• Recursive prompting to clarify legal assumptions or precedents
• Using SignalMate to translate executive intent into contract language
• Legal tone modeling and presupposition review for compliance communication
• Transcription and analysis of legal meetings for continuity, clarity, and follow-up

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school with a strong academic track record
• Demonstrated interest in corporate or in-house legal practice
• Strong legal research, writing, and analysis skills
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team
• Familiarity or interest in AI in law or legal technology is a plus
• Prior corporate experience is a plus, but not required
