Location:Victaulic Global Headquarters, Easton, PA The Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates for Fabrication & Drawing projects for construction as required by customer’s documents, along with other internal and external support requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Preparation/evaluation of: BIM Fabrication packages,Material & Labor comparisons, Joint count conversions, Engineering model conversions,Material Take-Offs (MTO) as required
Communicate estimate and scope of work to Sales staff
Determine scope coverage and manage risk of scope gaps to Sales and Customer
Coordination of projects with work center(s)/sales/customers to ensure project schedule milestones and deliverables are met.
Quality Control functions in-line with current department standards.
Utilize, review, and enforce the VDC division procedures and policies. Suggest updates as needed.
Coordination, scheduling, and assignment of incoming Sales support requests.
Assist Sales with presentation of VDC package quotes (as required).
Assist in the training of others in the department.
Assist other VDC departments (as required).
Qualifications
GED diploma, Two-year Associates Degree, and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related to Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
Proven written and verbal communication abilities
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, & Navisworks software preferred.
Knowledge of interpretating piping specification and mechanical piping drawings
Knowledge of estimating software: Onscreen Take-off, AutoBid Est-MECH, QuoteSoft, etc.
