Redstone Commodity Search are working with an International Food trading company looking to hire a Dairy Trader covering Latin American and Mexican markets to join their team based in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Cover all trading activity for all dairy products (such as milk, cheese, cream, butter, milk powders, whey powders, yoghurt) within the Latin American and Mexican markets.
- Analyse market trends as to enable changes in trading strategy to maximise benefits to customers and vendors.
- Onboarding new customers, while also developing and maintaining relationships with existing counterparties.
- Utilise financial hedging strategies, such as futures, OTC swaps and options to increase sales.
- Role reports to Head of Trading.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience within trading and sales of various dairy products (such as milk, cheese, cream, butter, milk powders, whey powders, yoghurt).
- Experience within the Latin American and Mexican markets is required with an existing book of business which can be brought over.
- Connections within the dairy markets, including producers, manufacturers, processors, and customers across the aforementioned regions are needed.
- Spanish speaking is required, other languages are beneficial.
- Role is to be located in Toronto preferably, although remote working is possible.
