Job description

DESCRIPTION:

When you join Kokua, you become part of a high-impact team solving one of the most urgent challenges in education — lost learning time due to teacher absences — with a solution that works. We are experiencing rapid growth and expanding nationally, with a clear and growing need for our services in public charter schools.

As a Senior Account Executive, you will own high-value sales opportunities, partner closely with executive leaders at school networks, and help shape the expansion strategy of a mission-driven company. This individual contributor role requires high levels of initiative, business acumen, and deep familiarity with the charter school landscape.

WHAT YOU DO EACH DAY:
  • Own and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, focused on high-potential charter networks and key regional opportunities
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with C-level and senior leaders at school networks to position Kokua as a strategic partner
  • Strategize and lead territory expansion efforts in collaboration with the Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams
  • Prepare and deliver high-impact proposals, presentations, and RFP responses tailored to executive decision-makers
  • Forecast with precision and contribute timely market, customer, and competitor intelligence to drive sales and product strategy
  • Generate and deliver clear, actionable reporting and insights to the Executive Team on pipeline health, risks, and strategic opportunities
  • Seamlessly transition closed partnerships to the Operations team for implementation and long-term success
  • Represent Kokua at relevant conferences, regional summits, and school network events

WHAT WE OFFER:
  • Base salary of $100,000 - 120,000 and uncapped commission
  • Full health, dental, and vision benefits
  • PTO plus company-wide breaks (one week in the summer, two weeks in December)
  • Opportunities for career growth in a scaling national company

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • 7+ years in education sales, including 3+ years in enterprise/multi-site partnerships
  • Deep knowledge of the charter school landscape
  • Proven success building and closing large, strategic deals and meeting ambitious sales targets
  • Executive presence and confidence in leading complex negotiations
  • Passion for education and mission-driven work
