Overview: We are looking for a Nonprofit Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist ready to throw their digital skills behind electing Democrats, combating climate change, and other worldchanging initiatives. You’ll be adding working closely with our digital production and accounts teams in helping build and improve our clients use of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform – playing a crucial role in online advocacy, fundraising, social media, and list growth strategy. You will be responsible for:
Joining each and every one of your colleagues in creating an inclusive workspace;
Designing and architecting scalable, efficient, and highperforming solutions on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform with a heavy emphasis on Email production, SMS production in Mobile Connect, automations and supporter journeys through Journey Builder, and data object management;
Providing expertise and guidance on best practices for Salesforce Marketing Cloud configuration, customization, and development;
Identifying and mitigating technical risks and issues throughout the production lifecycle for email, SMS, and other outbound communication streams;
Training and development of the digital production team on Salesforce Marketing Cloud best practices;
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand needs and requirements;
Working closely with members of the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of projects;
Tracking the stage of tech projects and status of completion, in an easily accessible format for leadership; and
Supporting a team that is building digital user journeys that raise awareness and bring about change for pressing social, environmental, and political issues.
Musthave qualifications
24 years of demonstrable experience working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with at least 2 years with a strong understanding of its platform and capabilities, specifically in regards to Email production, SMS production in Mobile Connect, automations and supporter journeys through Journey Builder, and data object management;
Participation and involvement in any CRM system adoption or migration projects, specifically in regards to Email andor SMS production;
Strong knowledge of Salesforce data model and database concepts;
Strong interpersonal communication skills to build trust and rapport for effective collaboration; and
Experience working with Excel or other spreadsheet or dataprocessing software.
Nicetohave qualifications
Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Administrator, or similar is highly preferred;
Experience working with medium to largescale nonprofit organizations highly preferred;
Demonstrated proficiency in subject matter expertise and technical systems – including CRMs Luminate Online, Engaging Networks, Bonterra, among others;
Working knowledge of JIRA or other taskmanagement systems;
Experience in email production; and
Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising.
Salary range for this role is $73,000 to $81,000 per year, depending on experience.
This position is included in a unionrepresented collective bargaining unit, and specific employment terms and conditions are subject to collective bargaining.
Upon hire, the official title for this position will be Senior Production Strategist, SFMC.
