WHO
we’re looking for:
We are
looking for a RAN Virtualization EMS/OSS/Platform/Transport Engineer to join our team.
Role
and Responsibilities:
- EMS/NMS/OSS/OAMP/FCAPS subsystem integration and troubleshooting in wireless networks.
- Use Tier2/Tier3 experience – Work under pressure to drive support teams to troubleshoot commercial NMS/EMS application, Platform/Transport issues, propose workarounds.
- Work with R&D and Tier3 to provide the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to the customer.
- Assist SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) with development of product requirements, feature requirements, systems and performance analysis.
- Work closely with various support organizations and cross- functional teams from across organization and R&D to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments.
- Ensures that customer commitments are achieved according to plan.
Required Experience and Education:
- Minimum 5 years of OAMP/FCAPS/OSS knowledge/experience for EMS/NMS and RAN network elements.
- Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS/TE is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Must have experience authoring and implementing EMS/NMS/NE SW upgrade MOPs in commercial networks.
- Must have Tier2/Tier3 SME experience – ability to work under pressure to drive support teams to troubleshoot commercial NMS/EMS application issues, propose workarounds, work with R&D to provide the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to the customer.
- Must have experience with EMS/NMS/OAMP/FCAPS subsystem design and development in telecom industry.
- Must have experience with network management systems and design/support of high availability systems.
- Must have an understanding of Netconf protocol, YANG models & REST API’s, VES/SNMP standards, NMS/OSS interfaces.
- Experience in Automation & Orchestration frameworks (i.e: knowledge of ETSI MANO specifications, TOSCA, ONAP) is beneficial.
- Experience in authoring the SW upgrade MOPs and RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) of high severity issues in the commercial network.
- Experience or Understanding in managing Openstack/Kubernetes environment is beneficial.
- Experience or understanding of 3GPP systems: Core and RAN networks, architecture and protocols is beneficial.
- Experience in SW development with Java and web-based applications is beneficial.
- Fundamental understanding of Openstack/Kubernetes is preferred.
- Understanding of virtual switches, network connections, Virtual port types (i.e: SR-IOV, VirtIO), Security Groups, VLANs and in configuring Storage such as SAN/NAS/iSCSI is preferred.
- Must have troubleshooting experience using command-line tools and scripts.
- Experience in hands on experience with configuration and troubleshooting L2/L3 switches and routers.
- Working knowledge of IP network protocols & QoS.

eye. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display
terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged
periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing
high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and
moderate hand/finger dexterity.
Performs
work under time schedules and stress which are normally
periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines,
intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project
management deadlines. May require working additional time
beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
