Virtual Medical Assistant- Front Desk Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in front desk duties within the US healthcare system, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in managing patient interactions and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle front desk duties, including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Update patient information accurately and efficiently on multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and Electronic Health Records (EHRs) systems.
  • Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Address patient queries and concerns in a courteous and timely manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Maintain proficiency in English language to ensure clear and effective communication with patients and staff.
  • Monitor and respond to patient emails, providing information, scheduling appointments, and addressing inquiries as necessary.
  • Demonstrate efficiency in navigating and using multiple EMRs and EHRs to access and update patient records.
  • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments to optimize clinic scheduling and patient flow.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in front desk duties within the US healthcare system.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Experience with checking patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Proficiency in updating patient information on multiple EMRs and EHRs.
  • Ability to efficiently manage patient queries, emails, and appointments.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
