Sr. Accountant Position Summary
Supports month end close process and related balance sheet reconciliations for existing and newly- acquired companies. Processes timely and accurate journal entries, reconciliations and other analyses. Works cross-functionally with other groups to produce specific account analyses and required periodic reporting. Manages work with a keen eye for and understanding of how to support and drive process improvements and streamline existing processes/tasks across multiple platforms. 

LOCATION - 100% REMOTE, but must live in CA, WA, OR, AZ, ID or NV

SALARY range -   $90-100K


The salary range for this position is based on market data and is intended to provide a general guideline for the position. Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and geographic location.  The final offer will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation during the hiring process.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform all tasks part of the accounting cycle including all areas of the balance sheet and income statement, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and account analyses
  • Execute special projects with minimal supervision and drive results to timely completion
  • Perform all technical aspects of accounting addressing and recommending solutions to streamline existing processes, create and update standard operating procedures, and create new processes as needed, including necessary documentation
  • Complete external data requests as requested, including, but not limited to, senior management, parent company and external auditors
  • Execute respective internal controls within the accounting cycle
  • Support efforts to implement and improve ERP transactions
  • Support the team in automating reports and other tasks within the accounting function
  • Implement and support best practices
  • Collaboratively coaches and mentors other accounting team members
  • Participate in testing and implementation of new ERP systems
  • Ability to cross-train within the team on specified tasks and processes

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
  • Full cycle Accounting
  • US GAAP
  • M&A accounting diligence and integration; purchase accounting
  • Accounting and financial software; integration with other functional software; large and small
  • Collaboration and Influencing
  • “On-your-feet” thinking and ability to react efficiently and effectively with priority tasks

Experience Required
  • 5 or more years accounting experience including use of and integration with various accounting software and related ERP systems in large companies

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA certification is preferred
