API Integration Engineer

About the role:

As an API Integration Engineer at AppXite, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of integration success for our partner segments. Your focus will be on optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of AppXites vendor integrations, aiming to deliver an unparalleled purchasing experience and stable provisioning.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust integrations between AppXite and external APIs (RESTGraphQLSOAP), data pipelines, and webhooks.
• Implement eventbased integrations using tools like message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) or serverlesseventgrid models (e.g., Azure Event Grid, Logic Apps).
• Collaborate with architects and product managers to define integration contracts, data mappings, and transformation logic.
• Build and maintain middleware connectors for enterprise systems like CRM, ERP, billing platforms, or vendor marketplaces.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and observable integration flows with proper logging, retries, and alerting mechanisms.
• Contribute to technical documentation, including integration specifications and flow diagrams.
• Work with QA to define test cases and mocks for endtoend integration testing.
• Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, and team planning sessions.

• Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on system integrations or APImiddleware development.
  • Strong experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPISwagger, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience working with Azure services such as Logic Apps, Function Apps, Event Grid, andor Service Bus.
  • Knowledge of eventdriven architectures and integration patterns (PubSub, Webhooks, Retry Policies).
  • Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (C#, Python, JavaScriptTypeScript).
  • Familiarity with API management tools (e.g., Azure API Management, Postman, SwaggerHub).
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CICD pipelines.

  • Nice to have:

    • Experience integrating with SaaS vendor platforms (Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, Salesforce, etc.).
    • Familiarity with iPaaS solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Data Factory).
    • Background in enterprise system integration (ERP, CRM, billing systems).
    • Understanding of security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, TLS) in integration contexts.
    • Knowledge of data transformation and ETL principles.
