API Integration Specialist – Talend & FinTech Systems at Ontrac Solutions

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to engage a Talend Developer on a 6-month contract. Our client is a diversified pan-African organization operating across five high-impact sectors: telecommunications, financial services, energy, real estate, and open innovation. the client is headquartered in Madagascar, is committed to driving inclusive growth by investing in transformative technologies and infrastructure that improve lives and empower communities. With a presence in multiple emerging markets, the group plays a pivotal role in digital and financial inclusion across the continent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop RESTful and SOAP API integrations using Talend (ESB, Data Services).

• Integrate with complex financial platforms, including core banking systems, KYC/AML providers, payment gateways, and digital wallets.

• Implement authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, Basic Auth) and manage secure data flows.

• Create and manage transformation logic using Talend components (e.g., tXMLMap, tRESTClient, tSOAP).

• Collaborate with business and engineering teams across Axian to capture requirements and deliver scalable integration solutions.

• Ensure exception handling, logging, monitoring, and deployment in QA and production environments.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience working with Talend ESB, Data Services, or Studio for API development.

• Strong command of REST/SOAP web services, JSON, XML, and data mapping standards.

• Familiarity with WSDL and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.

• Proficient in implementing API security using SSL, OAuth2, and API keys.

• Experience with integration architecture, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and microservices patterns.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools in API delivery workflows.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working within Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services ecosystems.

• Knowledge of standards such as ISO 20022, SWIFT, Open Banking APIs, or Mobile Money platforms.

• Exposure to API Gateway technologies like WSO2.

• Understanding of event-driven or serverless integration models.

Engagement Details:

• Contract Basis: 6 months

• Location: Remote (Pakistan)
