Job Description

As a Client Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in deepening and expanding this highimpact partnership. This is not a traditional sales role. It’s an opportunity to lead conversations that matter driving innovation, crafting solutions, and telling compelling stories that resonate with Clients diverse businesses and leaders.

This role requires a consultative, entrepreneurial mindset, one that thrives on customer obsession, design thinking, creative storytelling, and a curiosityfueled hunger to solve realworld problems. You must be able to write crisp business documents, shape strategy decks with clarity and creativity, and collaborate across functional teams to bring the best of Sutherland forward.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Engagement: Drive endtoend pursuits

  • Generate $5M+ “inyear” revenue from new logos annually.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across Clients ecosystem.
  • Shape creative solutions with subject matter experts using design thinking principles.
  • Craft compelling proposals and executive presentations that inspire confidence.
  • Lead commercial, pricing, and contract negotiations.
    • Client Relationship Management: Build trusted partnerships

      • Cultivate strong executive relationships based on value, trust, and insight.
      • Leverage your personal network and past experiences to create new entry points.
      • Practice customer obsession by deeply understanding client goals, pain points, and strategic initiatives.

          • Partner with internal teams; Solutions, Delivery, Innovation, Digital Engineering, and more to cocreate customized proposals.

                      • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
                      • Experience: 10+ years of business development experience, with exposure to Retail, Technology, Media & Entertainment.
                      • Track Record: Proven success in shaping and closing $10M+ deals in business transformation, CX, and digital services.
                      • Communication: Exceptional business writing and presentation skills; able to distill complex ideas into simple, compelling narratives.
                      • Design Thinking: Comfortable applying humancentered design principles to craft innovative, relevant solutions.
                      • Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
                      • Curiosity & Insight: Naturally curious with a desire to explore, learn, and connect new ideas.
