Acacia Center for Justice has an opening for a Senior Budget Analyst - UCP Business Operations in Washington, DC.
The position duties are as follows: Responsible for analysis of project finances related to the Unaccompanied Children Program (UCP), a federally funded program. Daily job duties will include:
Work with managers and associates to develop the program’s budget;
Analyze spending to ensure compliance with the budget;
Estimate future financial needs and monitor spending to ensure that it is within budget;
Establish and implement short- and long-range program budgetary goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures;
Evaluate program-wide budgets for operational effectiveness and effect changes required for improvement;
Work with UCP directors and managers to develop budgets for the program, and perform periodic cost analyses;
Design and prepare relevant financial reports, analysis, and indicators for leadership; and
Support oversight of program subcontractors, third party vendors, and budget analysts to ensure efficient business operations and financial compliance.
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by two (2) years of experience in any occupation where experience working on HHS/ACF/ORR government contracts as a prime contractor is gained. Experience must include:
2 years of experience with negotiating budgets with non-profit legal service providers;
2 years of experience offering technical assistance in monitoring costs, reviewing incoming invoices, and supporting government invoice creation;
2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel for monitoring contract spending utilizing pivot tables, sumifs functions, and index match functions to ensure data accuracy;
1 year of experience analyzing at least 50 monthly invoices while simultaneously engaging in a government solicitation response; and
1 year of experience negotiating with government stakeholders including contracting officer representatives.
Role permits full-time telecommuting. Must be available during East Coast business hours and can live anywhere in the United States or Puerto Rico. All applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment must undergo a criminal background check and reference checks.
Offered Wage Range: $151,200-$160,900 per year
