Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Budget Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring budgets to ensure efficient financial planning and spending across the organization. As a Budget Analyst, you will provide data-driven insights, prepare financial reports, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, prepare, and monitor annual and quarterly budgets.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Prepare detailed reports on budget performance and present findings to management.

  • Assist in financial forecasting, planning, and strategic analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Collaborate with department heads to gather financial information and support budget preparation.

  • Review funding requests and evaluate their alignment with organizational goals.

  • Provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency and resource allocation.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Masters or CPA/CFA preferred).

  • Proven experience as a Budget Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.

  • Proficiency in financial software (Excel, ERP systems, or budgeting tools).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
