The RoleAs a Senior Embedded Software Developer, you’ll play a technical leadership role in building and maintaining secure, performant embedded systems that power Solink’s device management platform. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams to design scalable infrastructure and solve complex problems at the edge.

What You’ll DoDesign and implement secure, highperformance embedded software across Solink’s hardware portfolio.
Architect, develop, and maintain embedded software for IoT devices and IP cameras with a focus on scalability and longterm maintainability.
Build and evolve robust communication layers between edge devices and the cloud using modern protocols.
Develop realtime and faulttolerant systems for securitycritical features.
Lead the integration and control of external hardware systems including cameras, access controllers, sensors, and other IoT devices.
Optimize software for performance, power consumption, and reliability across diverse hardware configurations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex firmwarehardware integration issues in the field.
Design and improve embedded update systems and remote diagnostics tools for fleetwide device management.
Drive architectural decisions and contribute to infrastructure components such as messaging daemons, SPIbased protocols, or offline failover logic.
Write and maintain test suites and observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, LTTNG) to ensure reliability, performance, and traceability at scale.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews, best practices, and technical leadership.
Collaborate crossfunctionally with product managers, cloud engineers, and support teams to ensure realworld performance and security requirements are met.
What You BringMustHave:
7+ years of professional experience in embedded or lowlevel systems development with advanced proficiency in Rust or CC++, and working knowledge of Python or Shell scripting
Deep understanding of Linux system internals, including kernel modules, device trees, TTYserial drivers, memory management, and bootloader optimization.
Proven experience in managing embedded devices in production environments, including OTA updates, diagnostics, and lifecycle management.
Expertise in hardware communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO).
Solid grasp of networking and transport protocols (TCPIP, MQTT, HTTP, etc.).
Experience with embedded build systems and toolchains such as GCC, OpenEmbedded, Yocto, or Buildroot.
Demonstrated ability to lead architecture and systemlevel design of embedded platforms with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and resiliency.
NicetoHave:
Experience with peertopeer or mesh networking architectures in IoT ecosystems.
Handson experience with tracing and observability tools like OpenTelemetry or LTTNG.
Exposure to KubernetesDocker and CICD for embedded software.
Experience working on video streaming platforms or multimedia firmware.
Familiarity with AIML on edge devices (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, OpenCV).
Contributions to opensource embedded or IoT projects.
Passion for hardware integration, edge computing, or missioncritical firmware systems.
Security RequirementsCandidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;
