Job description

This is a remote position.

Are you detailoriented and passionate about producing impactful educational content? Join our team as a Content Editor, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality and accuracy of our educational resources. By combining your knowledge of the current curriculum with exceptional proofreading skills, you’ll help deliver content that transforms the classroom experience. This role is for a fixed term of 9 months with the possibility of extension.

Who we’re looking for…

We are seeking an individual with EYFS and KS1 teaching experience and comprehensive expertise in the current curriculum to proofread resources and marketing copy to an exceptional standard, in line with the vision, mission and values of Classroom Secrets.


Your commitment to excellence will ensure that every piece of content meets the highest standards and creates a meaningful impact in education. You should have a thorough understanding of the curriculum to ensure alignment with educational standards, coupled with exceptional proofreading and editing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for precision.



What you’ll be responsible for…

  • Using and applying current curriculum knowledge to quality check resources to a high quality, in line with set business processes and standards
  • Working with your team to ensure resources are proofread in a timely manner
  • Taking responsibility for your own professional development
  • Keeping up to date with current educational trends, issues, theory and practice
  • Providing constructive feedback to team members in line with company standards
  • Creating guidance to ensure highquality output of production team members, and to ensure consistency across multiple resource lines
  • Supporting the Content Specialists to move resources through the product development process by contributing ideas and offering feedback
  • Editing and improving existing resource lines, bringing these in line with the latest brand guidelines
  • Offering feedback to Content Specialists and Freelancer pool
  • Uploading resources to our website and writing SEO content, to promote resource visibility both on our website and search engines
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Maintaining the organisation of our resource database, including both on our internal filing system and on our external, customerfacing platform
  • Taking responsibility for your professional development and learning more that will support you in the growth of your role andor your career in our business.
  • Living and breathing the vision, mission and values of Classroom Secrets
  • Other adhoc tasks and projects as required ensuring the smooth running of the business.
