About Wheel the World

Wheel the World is a social startup on a mission to make the world accessible. By building a cuttingedge model of accessibility data—extracted, organized, and displayed on www.wheeltheworld.com—we enable people with disabilities to find and book accessible travel experiences, including hotels, tours, and activities, with the precise accessibility information they need in the world’s most incredible destinations.

We are an international team, passionate about accessibility, and we truly love what we do. We believe in humility, friendship, and collaboration, and we are in constant pursuit of creativity and innovation.

💡 About the Role
Your Mission

Design endtoend user experiences through collaborative brainstorming, user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished visual design comps using Figma (and other relevant tools).

💡 Responsibilities
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and analysis to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our diverse audience.

  • Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows that prioritize both usability and accessibility.

  • Create visually appealing, consistent, and brandaligned user interfaces.

  • Develop and maintain a design system to ensure visual and functional consistency across all platforms.

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs, adhering to accessibility standards and responsive design principles.

  • Conduct usability testing, analyze feedback, and iterate to optimize both the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI).

  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance the user experience and strengthen the brand’s visual narrative.

        • 💡 We’d love you even more if...
          • Experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI for prototyping, user research analysis, or workflow automation) to enhance UXUI design processes.

          • Knowledge of animation or microinteraction design to increase user engagement.

          • A passion for illustration to enrich interface designs with unique, creative, and visually compelling elements.

          • Curiosity for techdriven solutions and optimizations.

                • 💡 Requirements
                  • Experience: 3–5 years in UXUI design, working on digital products (web andor apps).

                  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing UX research, wireframes, prototypes, and highquality visual interface (UI) designs.

                  • Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

                  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with usercentered design (UCD) principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).

                  • Visual Design Skills: Ability to create modern, attractive, and functional interfaces with strong attention to detail in typography, color, and layout.

                  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

                        • 💡 Benefits

In addition to the benefits of working at an impactdriven company with an enthusiastic and international team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project—empowering people with disabilities to explore the world without limits.

                          • Marketcompetitive compensation with equity incentives.

                          • Flexible, fully remote work schedule.

                          • One additional week of vacation beyond your country’s legal requirement.
