Project Overview
We’re developing an AIpowered Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform for senior and assisted living facilities. The platform is built on Microsoft Azure and integrates OpenAI services to streamline clinical workflows, automate documentation, and enhance care delivery. The MVP is being codeveloped with a cloud consultancy using modern, scalable technologies.
Role Overview
As a UX Designer, you’ll lead the design of intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences across web and tablet interfaces. You’ll collaborate with product owners, engineers, and healthcare experts to ensure the platform meets realworld needs and delivers a seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design usercentric interfaces for core MVP features:
Resident dashboards and health summaries
Admissions workflows with PDF ingestion and OCR
Medication administration (eMAR) and reconciliation
Clinical notes and charting templates
Compliance dashboards and alerts
Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
Conduct user research and usability testing with clinical and administrative stakeholders
Translate complex healthcare workflows into simple, elegant UI patterns
Collaborate with frontend developers using React or Angular to ensure design fidelity
Contribute to future roadmap features:
Conversational AI interface using Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search
Family portal and mobile app
Predictive alert visualizations and realtime dashboards
Qualifications
3+ years of UXUI design experience, preferably in healthcare or enterprise SaaS
Proficiency in responsive design and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
Experience designing for dataheavy applications and complex workflows
Familiarity with Agile development and crossfunctional collaboration
Bonus: Experience with conversational UI or AIML interfaces AND Understanding of HIPAAcompliant design principles
This is a contractor position in the United States with the ability to work from home but may require travel to a client site.
