Job description

What do we do?

Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of paymentsrelated apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 5000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The Role:

We’re hiring a Head of Growth to lead and scale Paddle’s productled growth (PLG) engine, owning the full journey from customer acquisition to activation, and expansion. You’ll be responsible for building growth loops, accelerating activation, and driving revenue from our selfserve motion.

This role leads a crossfunctional team that combines product, design, data, and engineering. You’ll implement AIpowered experimentation, predictive models, and smart triggers to optimise onboarding, conversion, and expansion. It’s about moving fast, scaling what works, and making every product interaction a revenue opportunity.

You’ll collaborate closely with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Revenue Marketing, Web, Product and RevOps to ensure Paddle’s PLG motion works seamlessly alongside our commercial salesled engine.

What youll do:

  • PLG Growth Strategy: Define the roadmap to drive acquisition, activation, and expansion within our selfserve funnel.

  • Growth Loops: Build and scale productled growth loops, leveraging inproduct usage, usagebased triggers, and referral mechanics to compound momentum.

  • AIDriven Optimisation: Leverage AI to run smarter experiments, personalise onboarding, identify expansion signals, and score user intent in realtime.

  • Onboarding & Activation: Improve customer timetovalue and key activation metrics across segments, working crossfunctionally to unblock friction in early journeys.

  • Expansion: Optimise packaging and expansion flows. Collaborate with Product and RevOps to align product experience with revenue opportunities.

  • Experimentation Infrastructure: Build a highvelocity testandlearn engine, with the tooling, data pipelines, and tracking needed to test rapidly and scale efficiently.

  • PLG Revenue Accountability: Own KPIs including signups, activation rate, PQLs, selfserve conversion, and NRR for PLG customers.

  • CrossFunctional Partnership: Operate across Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Data to deliver unified customer journeys that convert and expand.

    • Wed love to hear from you:

      • 7+ years in growth, product, or marketing roles within B2B SaaS, with significant ownership of PLG or freemium funnels

      • Deep experience in growth loop design, fullfunnel optimisation and product monetisation.

      • Strong background in experimentation, ideally with a high testing velocity culture

      • Fluency in data tools, metrics and experience building out analytics capabilities

      • Proven ability to lead crossfunctional squads and drive commercial outcomes through the product

      • Handson exposure to leveraging AIML for growth acceleration, such as dynamic onboarding, predictive scoring, and realtime segmentation

        • Everyone is welcome at Paddle

At Paddle, we’re committed to removing invisible barriers, both for our customers and within our own teams. We recognise and celebrate that every Paddler is unique and we welcome every individual perspective. As an inclusive employer, we don’t care if, or where, you studied, what you look like or where you’re from. We’re more interested in your craft, curiosity, passion for learning and what you’ll add to our culture. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t match every part of the job ad, especially if you’re part of an underrepresented group.

Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to better support you through the application process and in the workplace. We will do everything we can to support any accommodations needed. We’re committed to building a diverse team where everyone feels safe to be their authentic self. Let’s grow together.

Why you’ll love working at Paddle
