Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Support the day-to-day implementation of the IMG global business development strategy.
  • Lead the business development process from start to finish, building proposals, developing business models and drafting responses to RFPs as appropriate for nominated projects and initiatives
  • Work closely with global Business Development, Commercial, Partnerships, Strategy, Digital, Events and Production teams to support the growth of the advisory and consultancy business.
  • Manage the development and execution of strategic, multi-service initiatives to accelerate the growth of the IMG and TKO business across all verticals.
  • Identify and secure regional new business initiatives that provide the opportunity for industrial expansion of IMGs business into new territories
  • Oversee the successful delivery of IMG’s budgeted annual new business target in partnership with BU leadership
  • Manage best in class new business processes, operations and reporting across IMG Business units, finance and legal
  • Use strong commercial acumen to understand the shifting media landscape, and identify how IMG can leverage its capabilities to drive growth on behalf of rights holders and develop new sports and entertainment IP.
  • Analyse new business opportunities using a data-driven approach and develop a clear narrative to support the analysis
  • Monitor and anticipate trends, approaches and technologies in the media, sports and entertainment industry
  • Bring innovative thinking to solve clients’ challenges, and develop new insights and approaches
  • Any other duties as expected as part of your role.

Knowledge and Experience

  • A broad understanding of commercial trends within the sports, entertainment, and media industry
  • A rudimentary understanding of TV production/technical distribution, digital strategy, sponsorship, streaming technology, and rights valuation
  • Experience working within commercial, strategy or acquisition teams for sports rights holders, broadcasters/ streamers or consultancies.
  • Experience with identifying and analysing data from disparate sources
  • Familiarity with contracts/representation and services agreements
  • Experienced in managing budgets and driving revenue
  • A network of contacts within the sports business desirable (clubs, leagues, federations, confederations)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data, develop insight and identify business opportunities

  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a diverse range of international colleagues.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Competent using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent/ relevant experience
  • Ability to speak additional languages will be viewed favorably

Working Conditions

  • This role will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
  • May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
  • Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
  • Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
