About the Role

We're seeking an exceptional leader to join HARMAN Automotive's Connectivity Business Unit to lead Growth Strategy. In this pivotal role, you'll shape and drive the growth for the business unit by working closely with product portfolio teams and other stakeholders across the HARMAN organization.

What You Will Do

  • Identify new growth areas including new products, new markets, and new business models
  • Analyze and define use cases that can be effectively addressed through the product portfolio
  • Partner with the innovation team to refine the 10-year technology roadmap, providing clear identification of gaps and potential opportunities for the business unit
  • Lead M&A activities for the business unit to fill the technology gaps and/or enable growth
  • Support ad-hoc business unit strategy development activities
  • Prepare and execute workshop activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and present actionable insights and reports for critical product decisions

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Successfully completed degrees in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in the areas of management consulting, corporate strategy or product growth roles
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in automotive or consumer electronics
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in developing growth strategies
    • Strong business acumen
    • Strong presentation and communication abilities
    • Advanced analytical and strategic framework development capabilities
    • Proven stakeholder management experience in matrix organizations
  • Essential Competencies:
    • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Self-motivated with strong project management capabilities
    • Strategic thinking and structured problem-solving ability
    • Excellence in synthesizing complex information into actionable insights

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Educational Background: Masters in Engineering; MBA
  • Experience in Connectivity technologies in Automotive industry
  • Experience working daily with teams in EU and/or Asia

  • Flexible location: Chicago, Novi, Bangalore
  • Travel requirement: Up to 25% domestic and international
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Given the global footprint of HARMAN, you understand that flexibility in working hours is required.

Salary Ranges:

$ 105,000 - $ 154,000
