THE ORGANIZATION:
This role is in the Takeda Japan Innovation Center (TJIC), as part of the global network of Innovation Capability Centers (ICCs). Our ICCs focus on delivering digital solutions across Takeda and building our internal digital capabilities to ensure we are futureready.

TJIC collaborates with the global ICCs to supports our Japan based business units and functions with cuttingedge technologies such as AI and big data. As a TJIC member, you will work closely with Japanbased business units and functions while regularly collaborating with colleagues in global ICCs to exchange knowledge and drive innovation.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As an AIMachine Learning DevOps Engineer, you will take ownership of highimpact AI projects and operations that support business and drive operational excellence. You’ll be at the intersection of AI development and operations, leveraging automation, optimizing resources, and delivering robust, cuttingedge AI solutions that support Takeda’s global mission. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the development and operation of internal applications, delivering reliable solutions that meet the needs of endusers.
• Participate in the development and operation of analytics systems leveraging machine learning to support datadriven decisionmaking.
• Implement and maintain DevOps practices for data solutions by establishing and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) pipelines.
• Lead the resolution of issues and incidents assigned to you.
• Work closely with data engineers, IT operations teams, and business stakeholders to streamline enhancements, bug fixes, and system upgrades.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices for DevOps processes and AI solutions.
• Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, automate routine tasks, and utilize analytics to ensure optimal performance and stability.
• Utilize AI tools like GitHub CoPilot to enhance your own and the team’s efficiency in programming, building, and testing AI solutions.

  • DevOpsプロセスおよびAIソリューション向けに、包括的な技術文書、ガイドライン、ベストプラクティスを作成および維持します。
  • 監視およびパフォーマンス最適化：システムのパフォーマンスを監視し、定型作業の自動化と分析の活用により、最適なシステムパフォーマンスと安定性を確保します。
  • 最新のAIツール（GitHub CoPilot等）を活用し、プログラミング、開発、テストの生産性向上に貢献します。

  • SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :

    Essential:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or related field. (preferred: Masters Degree or PhD)
    • Programming and data manipulation languages: 3+ years of experience with Python and SQL
    • Knowledge of machine learning and experience in model development
    • Japanese language skill: JLPT N2+

    • Preferred:

      • Business level English skill
      • Preferred technologies: AWS, Databricks.
      • Preferred programming skills: R
      • Domain knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry
      • Experience integrating the results of machine learningbased models into internal systems and operating those systems
      • Experience in system development and operation utilizing natural language processing and generative AI
      • Experience in cost optimization of LLM (Large Language Model) applications
      • Proficiency for LLM observability
      • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or other relevant process and productivity tools
