Job description

At Black & White Zebra, our publications are the cornerstone of our company. Through engaging videos, awardwinning podcasts, smart thought leadership, and helpful educational content, we help professionals win at work and build thriving communities along the way.

We’re now looking for a Managing Editor to lead the organic content program for The Digital Project Manager, our flagship publication for delivery leaders managing projects, people and outcomes; leveraging AI to work smarter, deliver faster and lead better in fastmoving tech teams.

In this strategic, highimpact role, you’ll own the content roadmap, shape our editorial methodology, and ensure everything we publish is useful, credible, and performancedriven. You’ll also bring a passion and curiosity for connecting with others and surfacing realworld stories to ensure our content is rooted in credible, human insight.
As Managing Editor, you’ll lead a team of editors and contributors, ensuring the clarity, credibility, and consistency of everything we publish. You’ll collaborate crossfunctionally with content operations, SEO, and media teams to continuously improve how we create content—integrating AI, refining templates, and developing scalable frameworks that boost both quality and efficiency. With your handson experience in project management and PM tools, you’ll also shape our editorial voice and sharpen our point of view—bringing clarity to complexity and championing better digital project work across industries.

You’ll also play a key role in improving content engagement metrics—thinking beyond the written word to explore the use of video, downloadables, surveys, tools, visual assets, and other interactive content formats that serve user needs and strengthen our competitive edge.

Who You Are

You’re excited about the possibilities AI unlocks for automating the tedious, enhancing strategy, and helping organizations work smarter. You explore how content can engage—surfacing new opportunities, experimenting with formats, and helping readers stay ahead of what’s coming next.
  • A handson contributor and explorer who tests tools, talks to users, digs deep into products, and brings experience to the content you guide. Youre just as comfortable writing a firstperson piece as you are leading a roadmap sync.
