The Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Diseases Division (ARDx) portfolio is centred around ID Now. A fast growing, molecular testing platform with the flexibility to test for Covid19, Influenza A &B, RSV and Strep A. The ID NOW delivers accurate results in just minutes, giving HCPs realtime access to the information required to make actionable decisions during the first patient visit. The ID NOW™ Platform provides diagnostics where and when they are needed most — in near patient settings at the point of care such as Emergency departments, Admissions and Wards.

Other products within the portfolio include Binax NOW rapid antigen tests, sexual health testing and womens’ health.

We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager role for the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division (ARDx) Infectious Disease. The territory of this role is Scotland. The role is regional but may have national elements.

The role of the Key Account Manager is to ensure Abbott Rdx leads in the move toward Point of Care testing for infectious diseases within secondary care as well as identifying and progressing key strategic opportunities within the newly forming Clinical Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and community landscape. This will require managing and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders and pathways, working across all levels within the NHS, Public Health and Local Authority settings.

What You’ll Do

  • Development of markets and customers, achieving sales targets, providing customer service and key account management activities
  • Lead and initiate projects or work as part of a project team as required, demonstrate excellent business acumen and strive to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives
  • Implement national strategies for new and existing products and services (mapping out and building stakeholder relationships)
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders in key accounts
  • Participating in all sales and marketing meetings
  • Understanding sales strategies and transferring the UK marketing campaigns to a regional level
  • Ability to articulate issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long term strategic business opportunities
  • Maintain and communicate on a regular basis a view of the strategic landscape within your Region to Commercial and Marketing Teams
