Job Overview:

The core role involves reviewing and validating AIgenerated mechanical submittal data for commercial and industrial projects.

The Mechanical Submittal Engineer will identify technical inconsistencies and collaborate with internal teams to improve the performance and accuracy of automated review tools. Additionally, the role contributes to the development of internal QA processes and best practices for construction submittal evaluations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate mechanical submittal data generated by our AI systems
  • Provide expert input on plumbing, HVAC, process piping, and gas systems in commercialindustrial projects
  • Identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies in technical documentation and flag them for correction
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to improve the accuracy and structure of our automated review tools
  • Help shape internal QA processes and best practices for construction submittal reviews
    • Requirements

      • 3–5 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction as a Project Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
      • Deep familiarity with reviewing and interpreting construction submittals and technical documentation
      • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and gas
      • Detailoriented, analytical, and organized with a passion for improving processes
      • Comfortable working in a techforward environment with evolving tools
          • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
            • Advantageous:

              • Experience working with AI or datadriven tools
              • Prior experience in construction technology or a startup environment
              • Experience with Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
