About the Product and Marketing Communications Manager:  

MarketStar is currently hiring a Product and Marketing Communications Manager to represent one of the most influential tech companies in the world. As a Product and Marketing Communications Manager, you will increase the sales and resellers’ awareness, understanding and positioning of our client’s products and solutions. You will leverage existing content to create, develop, and distribute marketing messaging and product selling tools to the sales teams. 

Location:  US - Remote 

What will you do? 

  • Product Updates from Centers of Excellence (COE) Management Team and Product Managers  

  • Manage and maintain Desktop and Mobile Workstation Lifecycle Charts for Channel  

  • Creation of SmartBuy Setup Files for new SKUs ad hoc during the quarter  

  • Conduct Friday Channel Partner product and promotion/program update calls 

  • Someone that could be the interface to the other MStar team members, WS Specialists, PBMs for answering product technical, program, promotion questions  

  • Customer facing marketing/sales info comms/messages/collateral 

  • Provide Channel Partner support by answering WORKSTATION PRODUCT questions  

  • Assist with Vertical Segment Sales / Marketing (Edu, FED, Healthcare) as appropriate for Workstations.  

  • Support with key topics or segments and products training both formal recorded as well as live/virtual (i.e. FED or EDU focused content)  

  •  Support for Playbook Updates  

  • Lead regular channel outreach in the form of "Did you know", Product info, Competitive, WKS news type deliverables in order to keep WKS top of mind with resellers.  

  • Sales training webinars and reseller trainings as needed. 

 

What will you need to succeed? 

  •  Position Z Deskside and Z Mobile Workstation stack understanding value prop of each  

  •  Understand the customer’s needs and be able to speak to and position Z solutions for the most common workflows that workstation customers use, including Data Science, Construction/Architecture/Engineering, Media & Entertainment and Finance.  

  • Speak to the technical advantages and value proposition behind HP workstation design considerations such as ECC memory, professional versus consumer graphics cards, CPU thread count versus clock speed, TDP (thermal design power), etc.  

  •  Recommend optimal configurations for the customer’s environment.  

  • Be able to answer, “Why do I need a workstation” and “What makes HP workstations better.”  

  • Align and leverage HP workstation resources to assist trainings and escalations as needed.  

  • Utilize appropriate HP sales tools to help support customer and partner needs and concerns.

The salary range for this position is between $60,000.00 and $70,000.00 annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
