Job description

This is a remote position.

Work Schedule & Hours:
Flexible schedule within client's business hours in Eastern time zone (20 paid hours per week)

Job Description:
This is a multifaceted role with responsibilities that shift throughout the year:

  • January to April: Focus on tax preparation (primarily U.S. personal taxes; experience with real estate, S-Corp, and LLC business income taxes is a strong plus)

  • May to December: Support real estate administrative tasks

  • Year-round: Bookkeeping duties, including maintaining and updating books across various groups, departments, and LLCs

Real Estate Administrative Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting as a backup office admin

  • Responding to tenant messages and maintenance requests

  • Following up on late payments

  • Publishing monthly owner financial statements

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in U.S. personal tax preparation
  • Familiarity with real estate accounting and business income tax preparation (S-Corp, LLC) is a plus
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Intuit products such as QuickBooks and TurboTax is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with Rentvine or similar real estate bookkeeping software is a plus
  • A proactive, forward-thinking mindset with the ability to leverage tools, systems, and AI for process improvement
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Spanish speaking and experience working in the Eastern time zone – a plus
